Notice to policyholders

NOTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INSURANCE ACT (ZZavar-1, Article 553)

Pursuant to Article 551 in conjunction with Articles 545, 550 and 553 of the Insurance Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, no. 93/15 and 9/19) and with the desire to protect your interests as an insurer, we inform you::

• that the Insurance Brokerage Company ALPHA CREDO d.o.o., with its registered office at Dunajska cesta 159, 1000 Ljubljana, has a permit from the Insurance Supervision Agency no. 40110-0900/2013-4, dated on 23th May 2013 for the performance of insurance brokerage transactions, which a person can check in the register of agents and brokers at the Insurance Supervision Agency(https://www.a-zn.si/zastopniki-in-posredniki/register-zastopnikov-posrednikov/),
• that in accordance with the provisions of Article 572 of the ZZavar-1, the Insurance Brokerage Company has been notified for the provision of services in the entire territory of the European Union,
• that the Insurance Brokerage Company acts in its own name and on its own behalf,
• that the Insurance Brokerage Company has taken out appropriate Professional Liability Insurance to cover liabilities arising from liability for damages, in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 4 of Article 551 of ZZavar-1,
• that the Insurance Brokerage Company or its Insurance Brokers does not have a direct or indirect share that represents more than 10% of the voting rights or a share in the capital of the insurance company,
• that the insurance company or its subsidiary does not have a direct or indirect share that represents more than 10% of the voting rights or a share in the capital of the Insurance Brokerage Company,
• that brokerage services are not charged to the client as the Insurance Brokerage Company is entitled to a claim in respect of its services to the selected insurance company (commission already covered by the insurance premium),
• that, in accordance with the first paragraph of Article 554 of ZZavar-1, the insurance brokerage company does not have the right to demand payment of commission or any other payment from the policyholder unless this is explicitly agreed otherwise in writing by the brokerage contract concluded with the policyholder,
• that in accordance with Article 579, the Insurance Brokerage Company has established an internal procedure for resolving complaints (which also determines the provider of out-of-court dispute resolution), which is published on the company’s website (www.alpha-credo.com).
